I occassionally need to scan images containing QR codes on my computer, without using my smartphone. This seemingly simple operation is surprisingly difficult as no mainstream operating system natively supports this. And when resorting to online websites, many are ad-infested or don't run locally. So I set out to make the fastest and simplest QR code scanner, running completely locally.
